PASSENGER TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following is a summary of the requirements and rights under the Passenger Transport(Taxi Cab Services) Regulation of Regal Orlando Transportation that apply to taxi hirers and passenger. It must be noted that this information is a guide to the internal rules and regulations of Regal Orlando Transportation LLC.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

If for any reason the passenger/customer cancels the reservation prior to 48 hour time-limit, 15$ booking fee will be applied. All reservations should be canceled by phone and by email minimum 48 hours in advance of trip date in order to get the refund. Please be advised that NO REFUND will be provided to anyone for the rides booked and paid less than 48 hours before the actual trip, for any reason. The passenger/customer will be resopnsible for full fare, if canceled within 48 hours prior to the trip date.

Additional Services:

Additional services such as baggage or wheelchair assistance (not a curbside assistance) for handicapped (elderly) may be at extra cost depending on the circumstances. Curbside assitance is included in the base fee.

Pickup/Drop-off Time Compliance

We work hard to make sure that our drivers pick up our customers on time and at a place designated or booked by our customers/or their agents. However, in rare emergency situations we make no apologies and disclaim all responsibility for downtime/wait-time caused by circumstances outside our control including but not limited to natural disasters, accidents or injury, unexpected technical or mechanical vehicle problems, or any other freak occurrence that prevents our service from running normally. We expect such delays will not exceed 30 minutes. In case if the driver driver does not show-up for any reason within 30 minutes after scheduled pickup time, the customer may claim full refund or passengers have full right to cancel the reservation (provided that the service has not been already delivered).

No Show

If customer fails to show up at their place of pick-up (house, business, hotel, Airport, etc) without cancelling ahead of time (see Cancellation policy above), they will be responsible for full fare price.

Offensive Behavior

A passenger must not behave in an offensive manner or use offensive language in a taxi.

Smoking, Eating and Drinking

A passenger must not:
- Smoke tobacco or any other substance in a taxi. Smoke includes being in possession of a lighted cigarette, cigar, pipe or similar item.
- Eat or drink in a taxi. Eating and drinking in a taxi is allowed for medical reasons only.
- Consumption of any alcoholic drinks (including vodka, wine, beer, etc.) in motor vehicle is strictly prohibited, penalties up to $500 dollars may be imposed to the passengers failing to comply with above mentioned rules.

Animals

A passenger must not take into a taxi any animal or bird (with the exception of an assistance animal that is trained or in training) that is not properly confined in a box or other suitable container. Penalties up to $250 dollars may be imposed to the passengers failing to comply with above mentioned rules.

Luggage and Soiled Clothing

If, in the opinion of the taxi driver or an authorized officer such as a police officer or officer of the Florida Department of Transport, a person’s:
- Body, clothing or luggage is likely to soil or damage the taxi,
or the clothing or luggage of other passengers; or
- Body, clothing or luggage is of such a size that it cannot be carried in the taxi without inconveniencing other passengers, the driver or authorized officer can direct the person not to enter or to leave the taxi. A passenger must comply with such a direction.
-Extra fee may be charged for excessive luggage.

Passenger Causing a Nuisance

If, in the opinion of the taxi driver or an authorized officer such as a police officer or officer of the Florida Department of Transport, a passenger or intending passenger is causing , or likely to cause, a nuisance or annoyance to the driver or other passengers, the driver or authorized officer can direct the person not to enter or to leave the taxi. A person must comply with such a direction.

Directed to Leave Taxi/Vehicle

A taxi driver or an authorized officer such as a police officer or officer of the Florida Department of Transport, may direct a passenger to leave a taxi if the driver or authorized officer believes that the person has committed one of the above offences. A passenger must comply with such a direction.

Lost Property/ or Belongings

A passenger who finds any items (personal belongings, etc.) in the vehicle must return it to its owner or give it to the taxi driver. In no circumstances, the customer may hold the driver personally responsible for lost item after leaving the vehicle unless he/she has a clear evidence and proof that the driver has got the lost item.

Passenger Offences

Under the Passenger Transport (Taxi-cab Services) Regulation 2001 there are offences for passengers failing to comply with the above requirements. Action that may be taken, depending on the offence, includes court action or issue of a penalty notice up to $1000 dollars.
